Atanas Ivanov, chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union, in his statement on June 5 noted that Kim Jong Il clarified the philosophy on army that a revolution starts, advances and emerges victorious thanks to arms and the principle of Songun that an army represents a party, state and people and led the WPK to grow strong as a guiding force winning only victory in the ever-escalating confrontation with imperialism.

Kim Jong Il authored lots of works clarifying the main principle to be adhered to in the struggle for carving out the destiny of the nation, thereby making it possible for socialist Korea to firmly protect the dignity and sovereignty of the nation under the banner of independence, the statement noted.

The Songun politics enforced in all fields of the DPRK is the brilliant fruition of Kim Jong Il's idea of national independence and it serves as a treasured sword of the nation for frustrating outside forces' aggression and interference and reliably defending the national sovereignty and destiny of fellow countrymen and an undying banner of independent reunification as it provides a sure guarantee for the uniform development of the nation, the statement stressed.

Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Vanguard Party of Indonesia, in his statement on June 9 said that under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il the WPK has developed into a guiding force leading the Korean people to victory and glory at present and the DPRK has turned into a political and ideological power and military power.

The recent successful satellite launch and nuclear test conducted by the Korean people fully demonstrated before the whole world the might of the DPRK under Kim Jong Il's wise guidance and the level of its science and technology, the statement added.
