The bulletin in an article said that an inter-Korean summit was held and the joint declaration was adopted in Pyongyang for the first time in the history of the split of the Korean nation, adding that this was a noteworthy event that brought about a landmark turn in the movement for Korea's reunification.

The June 15 joint declaration is the cornerstone for developing the inter-Korean relations and a great programme for the reunification of Korea as it clarified the ideological basis, main principles and ways for achieving national reconciliation, unity and reunification, it pointed out.

The bulletin referred in detail to the facts that great progress was made in the movement of the Korean people for the reunification of the country after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and the movement for the reunification of Korea faced a grave challenge from the outset of 2008 due to the seizure of power by the south Korean conservative forces though it had made dynamic progress in the June 15 era of reunification.

Noting that the June 15 joint declaration serves as an invariable banner for the reunification of Korea, the bulletin said that the international community hoped that the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea would be sure to be achieved under the banner of the declaration.

The Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism on May 27 released its bulletin. It carried articles supporting the just stand of the DPRK over the nuclear issue and disclosing the injustice of the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK.
