Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Campaigns for declarations on the situation were launched in foreign countries, too, to denounce the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the June Popular Resistance in south Korea.
239 south Korean and foreign professors of such universities as Hawaii University, Florida University, Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University, University of Columbia and University of Indiana in the U.S. and Canada issued declarations on the situation on June 9.
Noting with concern about the fact that democracy has been violated in south Korea, they, in the declarations, deplored the present situation in which everything goes against the trend of the times under the Lee Myung Bak "government."
The Lee Myung Bak regime should make deep-going repentance of itself and opt for providing the south Korean people with genuine right and realizing the democracy of the society, they asserted.
At least 300 philosophers of Germany, France and other countries also issued similar declarations on June 11 denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group for its crude violation of democracy.
