V. Chikin, chairman of the National Council of the Social Association "for Democracy, Social Progress and Justice" and chairman of the Permanent Committee of the Belarus-DPRK National Friend Association Named after Kim Il Sung, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee decided to widely introduce through media the brilliant revolutionary career of Kim Il Sung and his immortal exploits for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence and hold colorful political and cultural events supporting the just cause of the Korean people who are pushing ahead with the building of a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il till April 2012.
