Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Leading members of the Commonwealth of Independent States Regional Headquarters for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration including its Chairperson Jo Yun Hae and Koreans in Uzbekistan held roundtable talks on June 10 denouncing the Lee Myung Bak puppet group for its moves to eliminate the forces supporting the June 15 joint declaration. The participants referred to such tragedy as the suicide committed by former south Korean "President" Roh Moo Hyun on May 23, declaring that it was none other than puppet traitor Lee Myung Bak who forced Roh Moo Hyun into death. They recalled that as the spirit of national independence and the desire to achieve reunification through alliance with the north grew stronger after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, Lee Myung Bak, much upset and displeased with this, ran the whole gamut of accusations against Roh Moo Hyun, branding him as "a Red who drained resources for the north" and "a spokesman for the Workers' Party of the north." The Lee group's such base act as driving Roh to death, who signed the north-south declaration, was a politically motivated revenge on the forces desirous of achieving independent reunification through alliance with the north and an unprecedentedly brutal action to totally scrap the historic north-south declarations and eliminate the forces which support them, they charged. Noting that the June 15 joint declaration is a great programme of the nation for reunification and the October 4 declaration is a programme for implementing it, they stressed that south Korea cannot get rid of mayhem, crisis, uneasiness and horror and the inter-Korean relations cannot be improved as long as such murderers, fascist dictators and anti-reunification and confrontational maniacs like the Lee group lord it over. The Lee group can never evade the responsibility for Roh Moo Hyun's tragic death and Lee should step down at once, they declared. |
