Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- One day in December Juche 34 (1945), Kim Jong Suk, the anti-Japanese heroine, met with officials of Myongchon County, North Hamgyong Province and asked them about the living conditions of the people in the county. One of them told her pessimistically about their hard lot. She made a searching inquiry about the real living of the people. He mumbled there were people making meals of pine bark and wearing hemp clothes, but there was no help. The longer she listened to them, whose words, attire and demeanor appeared rather "bureaucratic", the heavier she felt in the heart. Quoting the words of President Kim Il Sung that an official, wherever he may work and whatever he may do, should devote his all efforts and wisdom to the interests of the country, the people and the revolution, she said these words were the guideline which should be cherished deep in the mind of all the officials serving the people. Her words moved the officials, making them regret deeply the mistakes in their attitude toward the people. |
