Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- It was disclosed by Tokyo Shimbun that a secret agreement on the introduction of nuclear weapons under which the U.S. and Japan agreed to connive at the entry into Japan by any U.S. warship or plane carrying nuclear weapons during the revision of the Japan-U.S. Security Pact in 1960 has been continuously handled by high-ranking officials of the Japanese Foreign Ministry including its permanent under-secretary and it still remains valid. Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a signed commentary carried in this regard: This once again clearly proves that the "three non-nuclear principles" and the "nuclear disarmament" much touted by the Japanese reactionaries and the U.S. are nothing but sheer sophism and they are entirely to blame for the threat and spread of nuclear weapons. The commentary cites facts to prove that the Japanese reactionaries have so far paid lip-service to "peace" before others, while claiming that "there was no secret agreement on nukes" between Japan and the U.S. while frantically accelerating the moves to go nuclear in a bid to invade other countries. It goes on: The recent disclosure of the secret agreement between Japan and the U.S. brought into bolder relief the despicable true colors of the U.S. as the chief culprit of nuclear threat and proliferation. The danger of a nuclear war to the world is coming from such countries as the U.S. and Japan more talkative about "peace," "nuclear disarmament" and "nuclear non-proliferation" than any other countries. Nukes are, by no means, a monopoly of the U.S. Should the U.S. and its followers dare infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK even a bit, the army and the people of the DPRK will retaliate against them a thousand times with merciless military blows. |
