Since the publication of the joint declaration, big strides had been made in achieving the national reconciliation and unity, peace and reunification and all the compatriots gained confidence in reunification, the statement said, and went on:

But, all these achievements have been ruthlessly trampled down by the Lee Myung Bak "government" and the military tension is growing on the Korean Peninsula with each passing day.

The Lee "government" is nowadays getting evermore pronounced in its moves to block up the just activities of the forces supporting the June 15 joint declaration and quell the vitality of the declaration.

The Lee forces should be clearly mindful that they can never go scot-free in any part of this land if they persist in the fascist dictatorial policy and stand in the way of national reunification.

The statement declared that the solidarity would wage a vigorous struggle to eliminate the Lee Myung Bak dictatorship and usher in a new era for the independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the nation, holding higher the banner of the June 15 joint declaration during the "period of movement for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration".
