The congress urges the United States to immediately stop its aggressive and provocative sanctions and blockade against the DPRK and arms buildup, the statement said, referring in detail to the circumstances of occurrence of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and the essence of the issue and the criminal nature of the Lee Myung Bak group's full participation in the PSI.

Opposing either sanctions or blockade against the DPRK, the statement declared that the congress scathingly rejects the arms buildup and war exercises of the U.S. and its followers in and around the Korean Peninsula and south Korea's full participation in the PSI.

It called for further strengthening international support and cooperation with the DPRK on the principle of respect for sovereignty and national right to self-determination.
