Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration of south Korea made public a statement on June 13 denouncing the police for suppressing Ri Hui Chol, a pro-reunification patriotic young man, chairman of the 8th-term south Korean Federation of University Student Councils.
Recalling that the police authorities walked off Ri Hui Chol, the statement noted that he waged an indomitable struggle for independence, democracy and reunification though he was wanted by the police.
Terming the police suppression of him part of the moves of the dictatorial regime to stamp out democracy, the statement noted that the present situation can never be settled without forcing the present regime to step down.
The statement declared that the said solidarity would wage a dynamic struggle to have Ri Hui Chol released and punish the fascist dictatorial regime.
