Anders Karlsson, chairman of the Communist Party of Sweden, said at a meeting that Kim Jong Il has strengthened the WPK into an invincible party without vacillation in any storm and turned the DPRK into a powerful socialist bulwark and a military power which faces down the U.S. styling itself the "only superpower" in the world.

He provided the inter-Korean summit in June 2000 for the first time in the history of its division and the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration, thus inspiring all Koreans with hope for national reunification, the speaker stressed.

Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, said at a meeting that the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration was the result of Kim Jong Il's very just and fair policy for the reunification and peace of the Korean Peninsula.

Urging the U.S. to stop the hostile policy and war exercises for aggression on the DPRK at once and withdraw its aggression armed forces from south Korea, he stressed that the Korean people under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il would surely win in the confrontation with the imperialists.

A congratulatory message and letter to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings.
