Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- All the Koreans should dynamically turn out in the struggle for peace against war in order to foil the war moves of the bellicose forces at home and abroad and thus preserve the peace on the Korean Peninsula and accomplish the cause of national historic significance for independent reunification, peace and prosperity without fail, Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a signed article. It goes on: The U.S. imperialists and their lackeys south Korean authorities' persistent confrontation with the DPRK and moves for a war of aggression against it are the basic factors of disturbing the peace on the Korean Peninsula. Peace can be achieved only through a resolute struggle against the aggression and war. The Koreans in the north and the south and abroad are a driving force in the struggle for peace against war. The Songun politics of the DPRK serves as a banner of the nation-wide struggle for defending the peace on the peninsula. It is an exercise of the right to self-defense for the DPRK to bolster up its revolutionary armed forces to cope with the U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors' moves to ignite a new war and firmly defend the security of the country and the people. Had the DPRK failed to increase its war deterrent for self-defence under the uplifted banner of Songun in every way, a nuclear war would have already broken out on the peninsula and Koreans would have suffered an unspeakably horrible disaster. Indeed, Songun serves as a powerful treasured sword for preserving the peace of the country and the security of the Koreans and paving the way of carving out the independent destiny of the nation. All the Koreans at home and abroad desirous of the peace of the country and peaceful reunification should positively support the Songun politics of the DPRK with warm patriotism irrespective of ideology and ism and wage a more dynamic struggle for peace against war under its banner. |
