Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- It is a story when the unit under the headquarters of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by President Kim Il Sung arrived at Hongtushanzi with the Japanese imperialist "punitive" force on its heels one day in January Juche 28 (1939). At the sunset the unit was circling the mountain for the second time to put the chasing enemy off the scent before another "punitive" force appeared in front. Deciding to destroy the enemies by telescope tactics, the President ordered the unit to slip off sideways by treading fallen trees. A little while later, a few shots rang out to be followed by the exchange of fierce fire from the place where the unit had just been marching. When the chasing enemy found unexpectedly a "punitive" force marching toward it in darkness, it was surprised and jumped the gun, taking the latter for the KPRA unit coming in a counterattack under the cover of darkness. The newly appeared "punitive" force of the Japanese imperialists, suffering a heavy loss from the first blow, fell upon the other with a dagger in its mouth. The hour-long fighting ended in heavy casualties. Finding belatedly that they had firing at their own men, they let out shrill cries, struck dumb. The President would defeat the enemy completely with his telescope tactics during the anti-Japanese armed struggle. |
