Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Members of civic and public organizations of south Korea including the Veterinarians Solidarity for People's Health and the Federation of Health Care Organizations, experts on law and medical science and professors held a press conference in Seoul on June 19 accusing the puppet prosecution of its unreasonable suppression. At the press conference speakers accused the prosecution of cracking down on those producers of "PDs" of MBC who exposed the danger of American beef infected with mad cow disease on the charge of "spreading wild rumor" and the like. What the producers of "PDs" reported just reflected the substance of the information released by official media, they held, adding that if the prosecution wants to punish, it should mete out punishment to U.S. media, to begin with. The prosecution's suppression amounts to an encroachment upon the freedom of speech and expression and only goes to prove that Lee Myung Bak's "apology made to the people" last year was nothing but a lie, they stressed. They stated that they would take legal actions against the prosecution's suppression. |
