The statement recalled that the judicial authorities held a trial of Kim Pok Gi that day and upheld the judgment made at the first trial which sentenced him to a prison term and brought against him even the charge of violation of the "National Security Law," a law against human rights and reunification.

The statement denounced the judicial authorities as servants of the Lee regime who do not know how to distinguish patriotism from treachery as they brought the above-said charge against him, instead of taking an action to withdraw the unreasonable indictment passed by the prosecution on him.

Even elementary democracy has disappeared in south Korea, it deplored, stressing the need to make a clean sweep of the undemocratic, anti-reunification conservative ruling forces in order to put an end to the reality in which even the "National Assembly" and the courts are under the thumb of the dictatorial forces.
