Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The 12th national Taekwon-Do championship for Jongilbong Cup which was opened in the DPRK on June 19 closed with due ceremony at the Taekwon-Do Hall on Wednesday.
The contesters were divided into the youth group and the juvenile group. Taekwon-Do team of Pyongyang came first in team standing. Taekwon-Do team of North Phyongan Province placed first in Korean wrestling while team of South Hamgyong Province came first in Paduk.
The closing ceremony was attended by Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, Taekwon-Do players and school youth and children.
Hwang Pong Yong, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, made a closing speech.
