They condemned the Lee Myung Bak regime for having stamped out democracy in south Korea since it came to power as evidenced by its encroachment upon the freedom of media, thinking and expression.

They urged Lee Myung Bak to stop the indiscriminate suppression of media persons including the producers of "PDs" of MBC, teachers who took part in the campaign for announcing the declaration on the situation and the participants in candlelight actions and an unreasonable interference in the academic activities.

They demanded the authorities cancel the "state administration" ignoring the will of the people including the projects for "improving four rivers" and ensure the vital rights of the common people including the part-time workers.
