The puppets are cracking down on them on charge of the violation of the "National Security Law", taking issue with the congratulatory messages from the North Side Committee and the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration read out at the function marking the 9th anniversary of the said joint declaration held in Pusan on June 15 under the sponsorship of the above-mentioned south side committee. The group of traitors threatened to take a legal action against them in case they refuse to appear.

In this connection 13 regional headquarters of the south side committee on June 22 issued a press release strongly denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group's suppression.

The above-said congratulatory messages were handed to the Pusan Headquarters after going through legitimate procedures through the south side committee, the organizations noted, asserting that, accordingly, the "Intelligence Service" has no ground to interfere in this and moreover, there is no justification to apply the NSL to the matter.

The organizations said that congratulatory messages from the north were read out at the reunification functions held every year since the publication of the joint declaration but they have never become a target of suppression.

They demanded the Lee Myung Bak regime stop the moves to expand and reinforce the "Intelligence Service" and abolish the NSL.
