Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- 251 Round Buddhists of south Korea released a declaration on the situation on June 22 in protest against the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors' unpopular, anti-reunification and undemocratic rule.
The declaration said they could not but deplore over the sad reality of the corrupt society as evidenced by the tragic death of Ryongsan evacuees, the death of the former "president," etc.
It urged the Lee "government" to guarantee the freedom of speech, expression, assembly, association and workers' basic rights, halt the "construction of a big canal" and the attempt to make a retrogressive revision of the law on media and pursue a policy for the people, not restoring dictatorship and violating democracy.
The declaration urged the group to defuse the tension and confrontation between the south and the north as early as possible and clarify its will to implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, a landmark of reunification.
