In another development, the puppet warmongers staged "the largest-ever exercises for carrying out the operational plan reminiscent of the June 25 war" under the simulated conditions of an actual war of aggression against the DPRK throughout Kangwon Province of south Korea with all units under the first army corps command of the puppet armed forces involved on June 24 and 25 allegedly to cope with a war.

A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in a statement on Thursday pointed out that this is aimed to cover up its despicable true colors as a provocateur of the Korean war, justify its anti-DPRK sanctions and war moves and kick up a "security" racket in south Korea in a bid to divert elsewhere the attention of the south Koreans critical of Lee Myung Bak.

The June 25 war was a brigandish war of aggression provoked by the U.S. imperialists together with their stooges south Korean puppets in order to realize their scenario to turn the whole Korean Peninsula into a colony and, furthermore, put Asia under their military domination, the statement said, and continued:

This being a hard fact, the Lee group of traitors dared raise a hue and cry over "surprise attack" by someone, an insult to the history and truth, a mockery of justice and conscience and another intolerable provocation to the DPRK.

The June 25 war taught a historic lesson that aggressors and provocateurs are bound to meet irrevocable destruction and miserable death. Those who are oblivious of it are destined to meet a miserable end.

The Lee group of traitors will be made to keenly realize what a miserable end it will meet for its disgusting policy subservient to the U.S., the sworn enemy of the Korean people, and its dangerous policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen which only brings a holocaust of a nuclear war to this land.
