Lee Myung Bak Regime's Suppression of Pro-Reunification Figures Flailed
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The "Civic and Public Joint Measure Committee for Coping with Suppression of Pomminryon (Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification)" in south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on June 24 denouncing the puppet Lee Myung Bak regime for its frantic suppression under the pretext of security.

A press release read out at the press conference accused the prosecution of announcing the results of investigation into members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon in which it branded the director of its Secretariat as a "spy" and held the organization "chiefly accountable for agitating people to endanger the security".

It held that the prosecution's reckless act of incriminating the struggle for national cooperation, withdrawal of the U.S. forces and national reunification only confirms the validity of the activities of the organization.

It demanded the prosecution stop at once the criminal act of branding as "criminals" those people who devoted themselves to the patriotic movement for reunification by invoking the fascist law.

Stressing the need to put an end to the Lee Myung Bak regime's racket for "regaining the lost decade" and "purging left-wing elements" at an early date, the press release declared the organization would bring down the fascist rule enforced by the "National Security Law" and force dictator Lee Myung Bak to step down.
