Lee Myung Bak Group's Moves to Revise "Law on Natural Parks" under Fire
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Central Committee of the Buddhist Federation of Korea in a statement issued on June 27 vehemently denounced the evermore undisguised moves of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors to revise the "law on natural parks" as another grave criminal act to reject Buddhism and do enormous harm to holy seminaries.

The statement said:

The group's proposal for revising the above-said law is aimed at easing the rules on the "national parks."

In case it takes effect, a large area of land belonging to temples inside parks will be reduced to a lever for business of enterprises, damaging the spheres of the traditional Buddhist activities of the south Korean Buddhist circle.

The said moves are another expression of the religious discrimination of those seized with the conception of extreme phobia about Buddhism, the statement noted, and continued:

Traitor Lee has rejected Buddhism, defiling and suppressing it whenever an opportunity presented itself.

The group insulted Buddhists as mobs, absurdly asserting that the bamboos obtained by them for a funeral service for former President Roh Moo Hyun were for violence.

The political situation in south Korea has been driven into confusion due to the ceaseless announcement of declarations on the situation by public circles. In spite of this, this group is persistently seeking to revise the law which is bound to do tremendous harm to the temples.

Religious discrimination and all sorts of unpopular rule will persist so long as such pseudo superior priest of Church as Lee who trumpeted he would "dedicate Seoul City to God" stays in the presidential office.

The statement expressed expectation and belief that the south Korean Buddhist orders and organizations would closely unite with the people of different strata and turn out as one in the just struggle to put an end to the religious discrimination of the group and its all evil policies that have driven the people's living into destitution.
