Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- The Media Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration issued a statement on June 24 denouncing the puppet prosecution for its suppression of members of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon).
The statement accused the prosecution of detaining and indicting that day Chairman Ri Kyu Jae, Director of the Secretariat Ri Kyong Won and Chairperson for Information Choe Un A of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon on charge of the violation of the notorious "National Security Law".
The prosecution is now calling into question the activities of the organization which were legitimately conducted in the past, it said, adding that this is aimed at incriminating the non-governmental movement for reunification and totally suppressing the people's freedom of expression related to the south-north issues.
It branded the prosecution's suppression as a move to dampen the desire of the nation for reunification and threaten the people out in the movement for issuing declarations on the situation.
It urged the prosecution not to invoke the fascist law at the beck and call of the "Chongwadae" but stop the suppression of the reunification movement and immediately set free members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon.
