Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- The European Regional Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) made public a statement on June 24 in protest against the south Korean puppet authorities' crackdown upon members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon.
The statement noted that the prosecution authorities detained and charged Chairman Ri Kyu Jae, Secretary General Ri Kyong Won, Chairperson of the Information Committee Choe Un A of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon with violation of the "National Security Law" on the same day.
Such suppression is hardening the overseas compatriots' faith and will to fight to the last with the sycophantic and treacherous forces standing against the DPRK, the reunification and the nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country without fail, it said.
It pointed out that the Lee Myung Bak "government's" incrimination of those reunification champions, who have worked to implement the June 15 joint declaration warmly supported by the entire nation and the whole world, is intended to stamp out the reunification movement.
The statement warned that the south Korean authorities would face punishment by history and the nation for their violent repression of the reunification movement organizations including the South Headquarters of Pomminryon.
