Rodong Sinmun Monday in a signed commentary says this is a clear indication that the U.S. seeks to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK with nuclear weapons.

The U.S. is staging a dangerous nuclear war gambling while creating the impression that the DPRK is to blame for the present acute nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula, the commentary notes, and goes on:

U.S. high-ranking officials are letting loose a spate of outbursts that the U.S. is ready to cope with "contingency to be created by north Korea" and necessary measures are being taken to "counter" whatever "threats" from north Korea. The ill-boding military moves taking place in the vicinity of the Korean Peninsula against this backdrop prove that the U.S. imperialists are deliberately straining the situation to ignite a nuclear war on it at any cost.

Now that the U.S. is intensifying its moves for a war while openly disclosing its scenario for nuclear strikes at the DPRK, the latter is left with no option but to bolster up its war deterrent for self-defence in every way.

The U.S. had better stop its dangerous nuclear war gamble, clearly understanding the essence of the situation.
