On display in the venue of the meeting were photographs of President Kim Il Sung meeting with Lao leaders, works of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, pictures showing their immortal feats, books and pictures introducing Songun Korea and Korean handicraft works.

Present at the events were leading officials of the party, government, ministries, national institutions, the army and public organizations and people from different walks of life in Laos.

Hiem Phommachanh, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, said at the meeting that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have steadily developed in various fields over the past years.

Stressing that the fraternal Korean people have achieved signal successes in defending the country and building socialism under the guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, he affirmed that the Lao people would further consolidate the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
