Kim in the message noted that the AU recently made significant proposals to achieve the regional peace, integration and socio-economic development and boost the unity and cooperation among its member nations and is making positive efforts to this end, adding that this has aroused unanimous support of developing countries.

The DPRK government and people have always expressed firm solidarity with the cause of the African peoples for building an independent and prosperous continent in the past and will make invariable efforts to strengthen and develop full of vigor the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation with the AU and its member nations in all the fields in the future, too.

Expressing the belief that the session would mark an important occasion in providing measures for ensuring the agricultural investment and food security in Africa and strengthening the organization, Kim wished the session success in line with the idea of the AU and common interests of the member nations.
