Settlement of Part-time Job Problem Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- Part-time workers affiliated to the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions called a press conference in Seoul on July 1, denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group for its misrule.

Speakers at the press conference said that part-time workers to be turned into full-timers after two years of employment have been reduced to jobless or exposed to threat of dismissal owing to the unpopular policy of the Lee Myung Bak "government" and the "Grand National Party".

Noting that the GNP, which has imposed severe sufferings on the part-time workers, is now behaving itself as a "protector of part-time job" in the "National Assembly", they charged that this treacherous party is using the part-time issue as leverage for gaining its interests.

They demanded that the "government" and the GNP bear responsibility for any possible dismissal, stop such hypocritical conduct as "protection" and turn the part-timers into full-timers as soon as possible.
