Endless Stream of People Visit Statue of Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- A total of more than 142.5 million people visited the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill to pay tribute to him and at least 241,000 floral baskets were laid before the statue for the last 15 years.

Anti-Japanese veteran fighters, senior officials of the party, the army and the state, the Fatherland Liberation War veterans, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, working people from all walks of life and school youth and children laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statue on the occasion of the significant holidays including the Day of the Sun and other holidays and anniversaries and paid tribute to him. On these days a lot of floral baskets were placed before the statue on behalf of the party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA, organs at various levels and industrial establishments, farms and schools, etc. in Pyongyang.

Over 136,000 compatriots in south Korea and overseas also visited the statue with ardent yearning for the father of the nation.

More than 393,000 foreigners including prominent figures of political and public circles and militaries of many countries visited the statue in humble reverence for the peerlessly great man who performed immortal feats for global peace and independence.

Heads of parties and state and prominent figures of different countries sent floral baskets to the statue carrying their ardent yearning and humble reverence for him.
