Their ardent yearning and respect for the President who had devoted himself to the country and the people and to the cause of global independence are reflected in the gifts, orders, medals and honorary titles that have been awarded to him over the last 15 years.

A socialists' organization in Mediterranean Region, which comprises political parties and social organizations of various countries in the region, conferred its order 1st class on the President on July 17, Juche 83 (1994), noting that President Kim Il Sung who had made all efforts for the strengthening and development of the socialist movement and for world peace lives long in the minds of all people for his tremendous exploits performed for the times and history.

The Socialist Progressive Party of Lebanon honored him with the highest order instituted by it for the first time on the occasion of the 100th day of his demise. The Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America decorated him with the "El Medie Ben Barca" Order, the highest order.

Among the orders and medals presented to him by many countries and international organizations are the order "Contribution to Victory" of Russia, the "Sukarno Order" of Indonesia, the Commemoration Medal of the 90th Anniversary of the Great Socialist October Revolution and the Great Medal "Sun of the National Association of Writers and Artists of Peru".

A tribe of Nigeria held a special function for holding the President in high esteem as the Chief of the Sun Tribe in April 1995 and sent the throne, garb, stick, necklace and others of the Sun Tribe Chief as gifts to him.

Embossed on the throne made of rare wood are the letters praising the great leader Kim Il Sung as the sun of the tribe and the national emblem of Nigeria and on its backboard and props are a spear, sword and lion.

Among the gifts are a box for office supplies, wood-work "Cart", gem-work "Tree of Hope", landscape and wood-work "Eagle", glass vase and ceramic plate sent respectively by the leader of the Thai Rak Thai Party, the foreign minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, the President of the Women's International Democratic Federation, a Polish delegation for the study of the Juche Idea and the Swiss Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea.

Silk banners and congratulatory messages came to the President in the year of Juche 94 (2005) from the chairman of the Nepalese National Committee for Recollecting the Great Leader Comrade
Kim Il Sung, the Study Forum for Self－Reliance of Nepal, the Kabre Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea in Nepal, the Japanese Women's Society for Solidarity with the Korean Women, a delegation of the National Integrated Study and Research Centre of Nepal and other organizations and individual figures of many countries.

Overseas Koreans and south Korean people also presented their gifts to the President with all sincerity.

He was gifted with a silk quilt, glass-work "Red Sun" and gold-work "Tok Islet" by the secretary general of the World Peace Federation and with a copper plate with an inscription of the text of the June 15 joint declaration by a delegation of the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea.

In 1997 when the year of Juche and the Day of the Sun were instituted the Piura City Council of Peru conferred on the President the certificate of honorary citizen and gold key of the city which are awarded only to the greatest man in the world.

A ceremony was held in Damascus, Syria, in April 2002 to give the name "Kim Il Sung Street" to a newly built street. It made public the decision on awarding the certificate of honorary citizen of the city to the President and declared the opening of the street to traffic.

The President was decorated in the year of Juche 97 (2008) with the titles of honorary citizen and the honorary district chief respectively by the Atuntaqui City Government of Imbabura Province, Ecuador and the Ccatcca District Office of Quispicanchis Province, Cuzco Region of Peru and with the title of honorary chairman by the Applied Ecology Institute of Peru.

Noted scientific organizations and universities of Belarus, Peru and other countries gave the titles of honorary academician, professor and doctor to him and organizations including the Nepal Journalist Association decided to hold him as their honorary chairman and honorary special member.

The Russian International Charity Fund "Protectors of Arts for the Century" inscribed the august name of the President dear to the hearts of all people in the Monument "Good Angel of Peace" and awarded the "Gold Ornamental Knife of Protector of Arts" and the sculpture "Good Angel" symbolizing the protector of arts for the century.

On the occasion of the Day of the Sun this year, a Mongolian delegation presented a gift to him and, earlier to this, the Pampas District Office of the Tayacaja City in Huancavelica Province, Peru, decided to award the title of honorary citizen to the President.

The above-mentioned events show vividly how warm and truthful the reverence of the world progressive people for the President is.
