Unchon County of South Hwanghae Province has set up thousands of wind power generators in dwelling houses and public buildings by making best use of the rich wind power resources.

The wind power generators for families ensure electricity to room lighting, TV and others for their cultural and emotion life.

The electricity output produced by the wind power generators set up in the county is tantamount to that produced by a minor power station.

Wind power generators have been installed in some rural villages newly built on hills and at the foot of the mountains in accordance with their physiographical conditions in Haeju City, Kangryong County, Ongjin County, Yonan County, Jangyon County, Anak County and Chongdan County.

Yomju County and Uiju County of North Phyongan Province and other areas of Korea are striving hard to use the wind power resources, registering rich experience and achievements.
