Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, people from all walks of life and school youth and children laid floral baskets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung in various parts of the country on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of his demise.

An endless stream of people visited the statue of the President on Mansu Hill in Pyongyang in boundless reverence and yearning for him.

Seen before the statue was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the KPA.

Placed before the statue were floral baskets in the name of party, armed forces and power organs, social bodies, ministries, national institutions and scientific, educational, cultural and art, public health and media institutions, industrial establishments, schools, etc.

Also placed were floral baskets in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-imperialist National Democratic Front, overseas Koreans and foreigners.

The attendants paid respects in profound reverence for the President, calling back with deep emotion his brilliant revolutionary life and undying exploits.

Servicepersons, working people and school youth and children from across the country visited the statues of the President in their residential areas. They laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the statues and paid homage to him.
