The Workers' Party of Korea has put forth powerful fighting slogans in each important turning phase of revolution and construction to arouse the whole Party and entire people to efforts for a fresh victory.

The above-said slogan calls upon the people to hasten the current general advance with the do-or-die spirit which was displayed in the 1950s and bring about great innovation and great leap-forward in every sector of the economy by mobilizing all the potentialities of the country and thus to occupy the last fortress for the building of a thriving nation without fail.

In the 1950s, President Kim Il Sung advanced the slogan "Everything for victory in the war!" to cope with the grave situation of the country created by the armed invasion of the U.S. imperialists to arouse all the servicepersons and people vigorously.

This slogan enabled the Korean army and people to perform world-startling military miracles in the three-year long war by beating down the U.S. imperialists.

In the postwar years, too, the Korean people turned out as one in response to the slogan "Everything for the postwar rehabilitation and development of the national economy to strengthen our democratic base!" set forth by the President. They healed the severe war wounds and carried out with credit the huge tasks of rehabilitation and construction in less than three years after the war, though the U.S. imperialists raved that Korea would fail to recover itself within 100 years.

The United States and its followers are making desperate efforts to prevent the DPRK which is strong politically and militarily from developing economically onto higher stage.

But no one can hold in check the advance of the DPRK which is winning victory after victory thanks to the tested and wise leadership of the revolutionary headquarters, the national power strengthened incomparably through the Songun revolution, single-minded unity of the whole army and people and the invincible revolutionary army.

As the successful launch of the artificial satellite "Kwangmyongsong-2" and the second nuclear test showed, the national strength of the DPRK is on a very high level and all the sectors of the national economy are pushing ahead with technical updating with its own effort, technology and method.

The Korean people will certainly build an economic power along the way chosen by them, frustrating the moves of the hostile forces to stifle the DPRK.
