Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British branch of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain made public a joint statement on July 8 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The statement recalled that the demise of the President was the greatest misfortune and biggest loss in history as it brought pain to the Korean people and other revolutionary people of the world.
The President, born into a poor peasant's family, launched a struggle to save the destiny of the country and the nation from the colonial yoke of the Japanese imperialists by relying on the strength of the popular masses, the statement noted, adding that he fathered the immortal Juche idea and led two wars against the imperialists to victory.
He built the best socialist system centered on the popular masses in Korea and turned the DPRK into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, the statement pointed out, stressing that the DPRK is shedding its rays as a beacon of hope for the world progressives.
It highly praised Kim Il Sung as a prominent leader of the world revolution who put forward a correct strategy for the world revolution and national and class emancipation and a great teacher in the international working class movement.
