Among the audience were Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Wu Donghe, chairman of the China-Korea Friendship Association, Chen Zuming, secretary general of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, and others and officials concerned, citizens in Beijing and school youth and children.

Choe Jin Su, DPRK ambassador to China, and his embassy officials appreciated the performance.

The performance began with chorus "Song of General Kim Il Sung", immortal revolutionary hymn.

The troupe's repertoire included female solo "My Country is Kim Jong Il's Country", song and dance "Pyongyang Is Best" and others making a truthful representation of the happy schoolchildren of the DPRK bringing their hopes and talents into full bloom under the care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

It also staged solo dance "Dance of Bamboo Hat" and "Dance of Water Jar" and duet dance "Fishing" and other dances reflecting the minds of Korean schoolchildren.

It successfully presented Chinese songs "I Like My Mother Best in the World" and "Song of Toast" to the delight of the audience.

The president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries said that the performance given by the Pyongyang schoolchildren's art troupe represents a gift presented to the "year of China-DPRK friendship", expressing belief that it would contribute to the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship.
