Veredin, secretary of the C.C., the Communist Party of Soviet Union, said that the Korean people won the great victory of world-wide significance in the Fatherland Liberation War under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung. The war clearly proved that no force on earth would bring to their knees the Korean people guided by the great leadership, he stressed.

Petrov, secretary of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, said that the Korean army and people under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, the great brilliant commander, have become powerful beyond comparison of their might in the 1950s. If the U.S. persists in its policy of aggression on the DPRK, it will suffer only disgrace and defeat, he warned.

Nikolayev, secretary of the C.C., the Communist Party of Soviet Union, said that the Korean people's history of invincibility will go on as they are under the distinguished leadership of Kim Jong Il who fully inherited the qualification and traits of the President.

A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.
