The south Korean ruling quarters should have apologized for the crimes committed by them against national reunification. However, they are so brazen-faced as to let loose such rhetoric as "efforts" and "adjustment" in a bid to mislead public opinion. This is the height of shamelessness.

From the outset of its office the Lee Myung Bak group brought forward an anti-reunification proposal for confrontation such as "no nukes, opening and 3,000 U.S. dollars," pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, and thus upset overnight the inter-Korean relations which had developed in favor of national reconciliation, unity and reunification through an all-out offensive for confrontation with it. This is universally known.

With nothing can the Lee group justify its despicable history woven with crimes against reunification or conceal its vicious nature of blatantly challenging the June 15 era of reunification.

The Lee group described 2008 as a "period of adjustment to establish new inter-Korean relations". This is nothing but a ridiculous jargon of a thief crying "Stop the thief!" This is evidenced by the present reality in which the inter-Korean relations are in the worst phase since the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and manifold ordeals and difficulties are lying in the way of national reunification, the greatest desire of the nation.

Facts patently prove that the Lee group only seeks to realize its criminal ambition to stifle fellow countrymen and achieve "unification through the invasion of the north", backed by the United States, utterly indifferent to the efforts to improve the inter-Korean relations and achieve peaceful reunification.
