Korean People's Struggle for Reunification Supported
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- The Bangladesh People's League issued a statement on July 21 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

59 years have passed since the outbreak of the Korean War, but the U.S. is still evading the blame for the unethical crimes it committed in Korea and the war it provoked while bringing dark clouds of another war, the statement said, strongly rejecting the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

It referred to the fact that the U.S. instigated the UNSC to adopt the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK over its measures for self-defence.

The U.S. forces present in south Korea have hindered Korea's reunification for more than six decades, it pointed out, branding the U.S. forces as a stumbling block to Korea's reunification.

Only when the U.S. forces are withdrawn from south Korea, is it possible to prevent a war and achieve peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula, it said, and went on:

If the U.S. scheme to ignite a new war on the peninsula is not checked, this will lead to a full-scale thermonuclear war that humankind has not yet experienced.

The problem of the peninsula is an urgent task that all people of the world desirous of peace and security should pay attention and carry out all together.

The Bangladeshi people and the world progressives will stand by the side of the Korean people fighting to foil the U.S. imperialists' scheme for a new war and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, the statement stressed.
