The Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association in a statement on July 14 denounced traitor Lee Myung Bak for instructing the puppet prosecution to announce the "results of investigation into cases of violation of the National Security Law" and perpetrate such a fascist action as arresting three leading members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon including its chairman.

The statement continued:

No sooner had traitor Lee come to power than he totally negated the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, pushing to collapse the inter-Korean relations that had favorably developed with each passing day. Not content with this, he cooked up conspiratorial and shocking cases in a bid to arrest the south Korean people's mounting struggle against Lee Myung Bak and divert their attention elsewhere.

The above-said treacherous and sycophantic regime stoops to any infamy to stay in power, antagonizing fellow countrymen and kowtowing to the U.S. and Japan, foreign forces. As long as this regime remains, it is quite impossible to achieve Korea's reunification, the desire of not only Koreans but the progressive people of the world nor is it possible to bring genuine peace to the Korean Peninsula and democracy to the south Korean society. This is a hard fact.

We strongly demand that the Lee clique step down.

We urge the puppet clique to unconditionally release the unreasonably arrested progressive and pro-reunification patriotic figures without delay.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee in a statement on July 15 held that the south Korean puppet regime's suppression is aimed at a fratricidal war, strongly demanding it immediately set free the arrested figures of Pomminryon and repeal the treacherous and fascist NSL.
