150 years have passed since Swiss young man Henry Dunant initiated the humanitarian relief activity in the Solferino battlefield of Italy in June 1859.

Present in the meeting were officials of the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society of the DPRK and units concerned, and members of the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The meeting introduced the initiation and details of the Red Cross and its development and the activities of the Red Cross Society of the DPRK, IFRC and ICRC.

The event was followed by an art performance of student art circle members.
