Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House brought out Vol. 82 of "Among the People", a collection of reminiscences, which tells about the devoted service and noble popular traits of President Kim Il Sung who had worked heart and soul for the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.
Contained in the book are 20 reminiscences. Among them are reminiscences dealing with the moving stories that the President advanced the first five-year plan of the national economy at the Third Congress of the WPK and visited the Kangson Steel Works to kindle the revolutionary great surge in the hearts of workers there and that he gave instructions to remain more faithful to General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
There are also reminiscences telling about the facts that the President initiated the Northern Railway project and the construction of the Sodusu Power Station and energetically led the projects, strove to develop agricultural production and rapidly improve the living standard of peasants in mountainous areas and took warm care of people and children.
Carried in the book are reminiscences dealing with the facts that the President highly appreciated the patriotic deed done by an ordinary boy in a mountainous county and put him forward as Hero of the Republic before the era and people and gave deep trust to the discharged soldiers so that they could play a leading role in socialist construction as they did in the days of military service.
