Truth about "Spyring Case" Disclosed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Committee for Settling the Past History for Truth and Reconciliation on July 28 disclosed the truth about the "spyring case of persons of literature" cooked up during the "Yusin" dictatorship.

According to it, October of 1973 witnessed student demonstrations and one million-signature campaign of dissident figures across south Korea against the "Yusin constitution". And persons of literature issued a statement in support of them.

Much upset by this, the puppets set in motion the "Security Command" at that time to arrest the five persons of literature who signed the statement or contributed articles to a magazine published by a compatriot affiliated to the "south Korean Residents Association in Japan" on charge of "espionage" in a bid to weather a crisis.

The fascist elements threw them into custody without warrants for arrest and put them to unbearable torture, faking up a case and spreading it through media.

The above-said persons offered strong resistance, denying the case at a trial, but military dictators declared them guilty.

Disclosing these facts, the above-said committee stressed that it was the unilateral assertion of the investigation organ that they were "operatives of the north" but there was no evidence to support the claim.

The committee urged the authorities to make an apology to the victims of the case and take measures to reinstate them.
