Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea held the 92nd rally for peace and disarmament in Kyonggi Province on July 31 to denounce the puppet authorities for its proposal for increasing its military budget.
The participants of the meeting accused the "Ministry of National Defense" of submitting a proposal for the next year's military budget, a 7.9 percent increase over this year's, to the Ministry of Planning and Finance.
They deplored that the annually increasing military spending is imposing a heavier burden upon the people while steadily decreasing the budget for their livelihood.
They denounced the authorities for spending a ridiculous mount of funds for war preparations including the development of hardware for a war of aggression and expansion of the U.S. military bases. They demanded the authorities retract the proposal for increasing the military spending which will only result in steadily escalating the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula.
