Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Songchit Pullarp, chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand, issued a statement on July 31 on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification".
The statement noted that President Kim Il Sung laid down the most fair and aboveboard and reasonable proposal for national reunification on the basis of a profound insight into the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
Kim Jong Il formulated the three principles of national reunification, the ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo advanced by President Kim Il Sung as the three charters for Korea's reunification, it said, and continued:
The north-south joint declaration adopted and published on June 15, 2000 is a cornerstone for developing the inter-Korean relations as it clarifies the fundamental principles and ways for achieving national reconciliation, unity and reunification and a great programme for Korea's reunification.
Noting that the north-south declarations indicate fair and reasonable orientation and ways for achieving Korea's reunification independently and peacefully, the statement expressed belief that the Korean people would certainly achieve the historic cause of national reunification under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
