Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- The Teachers' Union of south Korea (Jongyojo) made public a statement on August 4 in denunciation of the Lee Myung Bak group's reckless suppression. The statement charged that the Ministry of Administrative Security on the same day reported to the prosecution public servants including members of the Government Employees' Union for Democracy who conducted information activities asserting the validity of the Jongyojo's movement for issuing declarations on the situation and disclosing the injustice of disciplinary measures against teachers and threatened to punish them. This is little different from the desperate moves of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology hell-bent on the suppression of Jongyojo, the statement said, and went on: It is as clear as noonday that another "massacre of public servants" will be committed in south Korea. This saliently revealed what the "democratization" touted by the Lee Myung Bak dictatorial forces is. The Ministry of Administrative Security is busy indiscriminately cracking down upon those incurring its displeasure, talking about "illegal group actions" and "disturbance of order and libel" and the like. This is little short of a revelation of its intention to tame public servants as "sentries and trumpeters serving the Lee Myung Bak regime". The statement declared the organization would resolutely fight against the authorities' unjust suppression of public servants. |
