The championships brought together more than 200 wrestlers from 22 countries and regions.

The Korean wrestlers bagged a gold medal, a silver medal and two bronze medals.

Ri Kwang Hyok came first in the male Greco-roman 42kg class.

Ri Su Ok placed second in the female freestyle 46kg class and Choe Song Il and Kim Jin Hyok third in the male freestyle 46kg and 50kg classes.
