On display in the venue of the book exhibition were works of Kim Jong Il and books on the Korean people in the efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation.

Recalling that Kim Jong Il started his Songun leadership on August 25, 1960, Miriam Pelegrini Feri, president of the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy, said at the seminar:

He, who successfully inherited the idea and the cause of President Kim Il Sung, is leading the struggle to build socialism and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country to victory with main stress put on the military affairs as well as the party work.

Riyad Chaloub, chief of the Guinean Group for the Study of February 16 Art, said in the lecture: It is thanks to Kim Jong Il's start of Songun leadership that such historic event as overall establishment of the Songun politics, which brought about great changes in the development of the Korean people's destiny, could be witnessed in the late 20th century.

He stressed that Kim Jong Il's start of Songun leadership will shine forever with the history of socialist Korea winning one victory after another.
