A speech made by Pu Yong Uk, chairman of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, was followed by more speeches at the meeting.

The speakers said that the cause of Korea's reunification is sure to be accomplished thanks to the leadership of Kim Jong Il and the inexhaustible strength of all Koreans firmly rallied under the banner of "By our nation itself".

They noted that they have positively supported the people in the south in their vigorous struggle to achieve independence, democracy and reunification under the uplifted banner of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration.

They called upon all Koreans at home and abroad to firmly uphold and implement the north-south declarations and intensify the movement for accelerating the country's reunification by their concerted efforts.

The participants of the meeting watched a video dealing with the south Korean people's mounting anti-"government" struggle.

Then followed a lecture titled "June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and October 4 Declaration and Past, Present and Future."
