The statement said: Many people were forced to suffer all sorts of shame and sufferings after being taken as sexual slaves for the Japanese imperialist aggressor troops, slave laborers and as cannon fodder in the past and they still have their grudges unsettled. Young people are subject to physical sufferings resulting from the chemical weapons carelessly left by the Japanese imperialists in different parts of Asia. A large number of people who had been taken by the Japanese imperialists to alien countries at the point of the bayonet have undergone unbearable misfortune for several decades, without knowing the whereabouts of their kith and kin.

This being hard realities, the Japanese authorities are behaving impudently, oft-repeating their far-fetched assertion that the issue of Japan's settlement of its past had already been solved legally though neither victims nor the international community recognize it.

The Japanese authorities have persistently evaded the responsibility to make apology and reparation to Korea, the biggest victim of the Japanese imperialists, though more than six decades have passed since their defeat. Disguising itself as a "victim," Japan has kicked up a racket against the DPRK. Not content with this, it is now enforcing the measure to restrict and cut off even the mail exchange between the non-governmental organizations of the DPRK and Japan, etc., something one can hardly imagine with normal thinking power in the present IT age. The Japanese authorities are stoking extreme atmosphere hostile to the DPRK throughout Japan by intensifying the politically motivated suppression and social enmity towards the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and Koreans in Japan.

Japan is persisting in such political swindle as evading the redemption of its past wrongs and distorting the history and pursuing so malignant false propaganda and hostile policy towards the DPRK though it is well aware its behavior is bound to invite protest and denunciation from the international community. The aim sought by it through these moves is to revive at any cost "Imperial Japan" which stooped to any infamy as the leader of Asia 60 odd years back.

The Korean people are shaking with towering grudge and resentment against Japan. They will certainly force it to pay for its crimes generation after generation.

Japan had better properly redeem all its crimes committed throughout its history before it is too late.
