The general director of the Myanmar Ministry of Sports who is secretary general of the Myanmar Olympic Committee said in his speech at a meeting that Kim Jong Il, regarding the military affair as the most important national affair, has defended the country, the revolution and socialism relying on the revolutionary spirit and the combat capability of the Korean People's Army and dynamically pushed forward the overall socialist construction.

He stressed that the Korean people are sure to win in their struggle to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation under Kim Jong Il's Songun leadership.

The chief secretary of the Union Solidarity and Development Association of Myanmar said at a photo exhibition and a film show that Kim Jong Il's idea and theory of attaching importance to the army are based on the Juche-oriented view and standpoint that an army plays a decisive role, adding that the Songun exploits performed by him would shine long with the history of the Juche-oriented army building.

The director general of the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea in a lecture titled "Korean People's Army, Mainstay of Socialist Cause" said that the KPA has been prepared to be a steadfast adherent to the socialist cause and its reliable guardian thanks to Kim Jong Il.

Participants of the film shows watched the Korean films "75th Anniversary of Foundation of Heroic Korean People's Army" and "Army of the DPRK."
